HelpDesk - IT & Support - Hamilton
We have a great opportunity available for a motivated and organised person with a positive, pro-active attitude and exceptional communication skills to join the Elite Help Desk team as a Remote Support Engineer in our Hamilton office.
This is an interesting, busy and interactive role that would suit someone with the ability to work methodically and effectively, even when under pressure, whilst maintaining a rational and clear thinking approach at all times.

Our Help Desk service plays a crucial role in building successful business relationships, by delivering first-line support to our customer base. Working within a dedicated team, you will answer and evaluate all inbound service requests, providing support with an on-the-spot resolution where feasible. You may also be required to assist with the co-ordination of the technical team, escalating and allocating requests to field-based colleagues as appropriate.
As a member of the Elite team, you will provide an exceptional level of service to each of our customers.
- You will have suitable experience providing remote support on a technical IT help desk – any service provider experience would be highly regarded.
- The role requires broad and up-to-date knowledge of different hardware and software environments, including real-world experience with Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems, and relevant technologies such as AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.
- You are positive, diligent and have the ability to multi-task with consistent attention to detail.
- You have an articulate and professional telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively with customers with varying levels of technical ability, along with strong written communication skills.
